Thanks to all the Derrick fans who have watched us, supported us, emailed us, told your grossed-out friends about Bro Rape, forwarded our sketches, linked to us, blogged about us, and waited in the cold for an hour to watch us at a theatre under a grocery store. You guys made 2007 a big year for DERRICK and we’ll never forget that.
We have some really cool stuff planned for 2008 that we can’t unveil just yet. Check the news page or subscribe to stay up to date. Our New Year’s resolution is to post WAY more news, pics, and other features. Tru Dat.

This Saturday, we’ll be presenting the November edition of STREET LEGAL at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in NYC. Street Legal is a collection of all-new characters, sketches, videos, and improv. You haven’t seen any of it before. New every month. Our promise to you.
The show is this Saturday night, November 3rd, at midnight. You can make free reservations and get directions, etc., here. Admission is five bucks. There is no drink minimum or age limit. Come one come all!
The NEXT Saturday, the 10th, we’re performing at 8:30 as part of the UCBT’s “Longest Sketch Show Ever.” We’re co-headlining the festival with UCB’s Matt Besser and the incredible sketch group Kasper Hauser of San Francisco. We’ll be putting up a best-of show. Festival passes are twenty bucks, which gets you into every single show, totaling 24 consecutive hours of awesome sketch comedy on one stage, one show after the next. Our friends Greg and Lou, Hammerkatz, and Harry Terjanian are all mounting shows, as well as tons of other amazing groups. If you are a comedy head in the area, you probably owe it to yourself to catch as much as possible. Details here.

Our own Donald Glover is on the writing staff of NBC’s “30 Rock,” which just won an Emmy for Best Comedy. You can see our man onstage after the big win here: 30 Rock Wins Emmy. In-fucking-credible.
A couple years ago, Dan, Dominic and Meggie made a short film called “Checkout,” which won “Best College Short” at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen in 2006. You can finally see it online in all its glory here: Checkout. It’s 20 minutes long and doesn’t load too quickly, so you might want to let it load for a couple minutes before you let ‘er rip. It features ninjas, samurai, and creepy janitors: you kinda can’t beat it.

This Thursday evening, 9/13/07, DERRICKcomedy has TWO shows going on at the Upright Citizens Brigade theatre in New York.
There’s a show at 9:30pm, which will consist of live sketches, unreleased film sketches, and general hilarity. You can reserve $5 tickets here. And if you want to be SUPER cool, you can also attend the show immediately after and support DERRICK in “Cagematch” where we’ll defend our title as champions of improv comedy.
